Winter is coming to end for many parts of the US but It took a long time for winter to come to the desert, we eventually got a taste of winter so It has taken a bit but after some strategic trips north we were able to get an ample amount of testing and reviewing. Since I have finally got all my ducks in a row and can give a proper review of both the Slush Combat suit and the Body warmer and how they both work by themselves and even as a combo!

SLUSH COMBAT SUIT + BODY WARMER
This is a winning combination for long haired dogs that love playing in the snow! I was worried that the Body Warmer might get wet under the Slush Combat Suit but it did an amazing job at keeping both the Body Warmer dry and Goose dry and warm for over 6 hours of snowshoeing without a single snowball forming. I did mist him down prior to snowshoeing with PAM cooking spray and made sure he had his dogbooties.com boots on to keep his paws safe from the snow and snowballing. But the Slush Combat Suit and Body Warmer combo did a stellar job at making sure Goose also didn’t develop any snowballs on his legs, belly or butt. I would recommend this combo to anyone with a long haired dog looking for added protection from snowballs and/or the cold when in the snow. The high visibility orange of the Slush Combat suit was amazing, but one downfall that I mentioned above is this, I wish Hurtta would add an elastic bungee at the base of the tail, Goose doesn’t have much of a tail so the suit sometimes rides down his back and over his tale and if he has to poop I have to make sure the suit is clear or properly adjusted. But this is minor, I would highly recommend this combo to anyone who lives in snowy an rainy conditions, or even for people who like to visit them. We live in the desert we take frequent trips north to go play and snowshoe in the snow.
