Here is a quick and simple treat recipe anyone can make from home, and more then likely you will have all three ingredients in the house. I’m not much of a baker and even I managed not to mess these up. They work perfect on the trail for treats and break up nicely if you want them to last longer.
Ingredients
1 large Banana
1 1/2 cups Oatmeal
1/2 cup peanut butter
(yields 25 biscuits)
Instructions
- Pre-heat your oven to 350 degrees.
- Use food processor or mill to blend/grind your oats till a fine powder
- In a mixing bowl combined all three ingredients *reserve some ground oatmeal for dusting your work surface for later If a few chunks of banana is not completely mashed it will be fine, just make sure the dough is all stuck together and it well combined.
- With the reserved ground oatmeal dust your surface, and roll your dough out to about a 1/4 inch thickness.
- Cut into desired shapes and place on to parchment lined backing sheet.
- Back for about 15 min. or until the edges are browned.
- Cool completely before storing in a air tight container. ** Treats will last for a week in a air tight container.
Notes: Add additional peanut butter or ground oats if dough is to dry or sticky.
